This is not a rant thread , but rather a what were u thinking ? ..... what do i mean ? about ur "zaishen title track" , this is by far the most ridiculous title with an emote i have yet to see in GW, and proves further more that they are not really in tune w/ what the community is asking for ... maybe some but ur a small few. We asked for somethign to spend our faction on u gave us the chest then an emote to go with it , the emote was lame part kudos to giving me somewhere to spend unused balth faction.

Lemme explain, ive been part of the gw community now for like 2 +yrs and for a long time we asked and asked for another emote even gave real titles to link the emote too. You give a title an emote that can be bought ... what bout giving us something for something we may have truly earned. And ur emote came a bit late too btw. And before someone flames me i already have HA emote so its not about that at all but rather what bout giving ppl the emote for the other PVP arenas and their skill and time invested. Im still very much one who believes u should have given a gladiator emote or a luxon/ kurzick emote long before u gave this last one, hell even a KoaBd emote for the higher tiers would have been more acceptable to me and thats on the PVE side.

And before anyone starts flaming how much it would cost to buy it, the simple fact is that most titles like it are bought and dont come w/ and emote and neither should it. I guess in some ways the point to this thread is u should strongly reconsider other emotes for other areas of the game especially since u gave the zaishen track an emote. Those would be of course Glad/ Kurz/lux/ and of course Koabd ... hell give two, Koabd would definitely be one , and then one based on a form of pvp cos another one is needed and would prolly be welcomed with open arms as well as appreciated.

Yeah I think pretty much everyone agrees on this...another thing is, the only people who would want the emote to /rank someone on death are exactly the people I don't want to play with.

I understand your point and empathize with it greatly but any emote hereafter will almost definitely cause controversy.

I don't understand why they went to the bother to make those emotes and that title, nor why they made it so ridculously unattainable to ordinary players to max out. Was it to encourage PvE players to go to PvP?

Most PvE players that don't venture to PvP arenas after completing the lore often strive for wealth or exclusive/fancy weaponry and armour sets or achievement titles. By creating an emote and title for opening the Zaishen chest, the development team virtually handed a load of wealth to the zealous PvP community.

Suppose ANet added an emote for LDoA. There would be an outcry at how people can't earn the title because their connection is weak and they don't want to waste electricity spending all of that time AFK. The moral of the story is, there will be QQing regardless of whatever decisions are made.

If it were up to me, I'd give an emote like the /zrank emote to those who are Champion ranked instead.

I agree that they are not in tune with us. However Guru represents a very small portion of the guild wars community so basing the statement "they are not in tune with what we really want" from just posts on guru can simply not be take but with a grain of sand. So I hope you are basing this off more then just random threads you have trolled through on this site.

I agree that many players have wanted another emote to be added in. I agree that putting in the zchest title was stupid. I agree that putting an emote torwards it is stupid.

Even if some1 doesn't buy the title they can guess there way through it. I have 3 accounts who all got like 150 reward points from may tourny. I put all the keys on my main and got the title. I also ha and ra and ab so I get like 5-6 more keys from a few hours in ra or ha. The title is to easy to be gotten even if you don't buy your way through it. Exspecially since even if you are poor you can get like 25 keys a month just from guessing. I mean it is next to impossible to get under a 100 reward points. I mean I tried on one of my accounts I put rawr coming in last just for the fun of it.

Ok so I will some everything up I mean. I agree with you. However you can not base what the community wants off of a few lame sites because they don't house to the majority of players. I also agree the title is to easy to get and the emote should not be linked to it. O well it is still fun to go up and tiger some1 when they use like r4 zrank.

sorry if this is a bit old in terms of the whole ordeal but until recently i havent been on most gw forums, and im not takin this from the aspect of just guru as i kn forums only count for a small majority of the population, i was really just wondering what were they thinking, i come from the age of when gw was truly a competitive game with real competitive pvp and realize much has changed both for the best and worst but i truly wonder how they can continue to cater to this group as much when its things like this that will turn away the competitive nature of this game as it continues to do. Sure a game should be fun and enjoying to play but stop rewarding ppl for something that needs no reward.

and this was not a rant, bitch or complain if it was ud here me say oh u suxorz or this is BS blah blah blah , its not that, i just would like some reconsideration, hell i already had the important and access to the only emotes to the game before this so it doesnt really affect me as much as id like to have them give credit where credits due.

I like the chest idea alot, something to put baltz factions on.

but imho, its a title which is over all chars (lets say "accountbased")
That will make it easier to max 5 accountbased titles, and thats cool i guess.

the thing i understand is how you can be temp-banned for "disorderly conduct" by rank-spiking (hero rank) people in HA (yes its true, it happened to me). but how anet encourages zrank spiking.....

And a really poorly designed one on top of it.
And far far away from what the community been asking for - some kind of a meaningful overall PvP title to sum up all kinds of PvP accomplishments... and the devs knew about it (we know from certain Andrew Patrick responses) but we ended up with this...

Although I agree the Zaishen title is somewhat ridiculous, it has just become another piece of evidence about what's going on in the game, in general.

I remember a time when seeing someone with KoaBD r1 was somewhat impressive. Now you can get KoaBD within a week with some decent farming. Just as you needed to have R3 to show a rank, now just need 250k/50e.
Everything is just getting easier and easier to get.
Nothing to do but accept it.

Well that depends what you view as the "community", it's a fairly popular suggestion that every single minipet should be available for everyone at a minipet merchant in game for 10g per minipet... You never know to who ANet listens if they want the opinion of the community.
